Great Glen U3A
Great Glen U3A started in September 2001. We aim to provide a means for retired and semi-retired people to meet in groups, in the daytime, for activities of mutual interest at low cost. Groups are educational, physical and social, but above all are enjoyable. No formal tuition is included and no qualifications required or given. Groups function on a self-help basis.
Our monthly meetings are currently held on Zoom. We are affiliated to the Third Age Trust, a country-wide organisation of U3A's, with more than 350,000 members. This enables us to access advice on matters where our own knowledge is inadequate and also to borrow educational materials freely from the Resource Centre.
Most of the groups meet at the Methodist Church or Burton Overy Village Hall. A donation of £1.50 per session is suggested to help with the cost of room hire
We have now entered our 21st year as the Great Glen branch of the U3A, Why not join us?
